From cost-efficient carbon steel to specialised nickel alloy, our spring wire delivers lasting performance.
As a trusted Industrial Spring Wire supplier in South Africa, we partner with manufacturers, engineers, and OEMs to deliver custom engineering wire solutions that meet exacting tensile strength, fatigue resistance, and corrosion performance standards. Our spring wire is sourced to ISO 9001 certified standards, ensuring consistent performance and reliability and can be supplied in bulk or small-batch quantities.
With a wide selection of alloys, including copper, nickel, and phosphor bronze, we deliver tailored solutions to meet the specific requirements of your application. Whether for industrial machinery, automotive components, or precision mechanical parts, our spring wire is backed by full traceability and the technical expertise to support your production needs.

We supply spring wire in five main material categories, each engineered for specific mechanical loads, environments, and life cycle requirements. Whether you are producing automotive suspension springs, heavy-duty mining equipment springs, or precision mechanical components, we offer the grade, finish, and format that ensure reliable manufacturing and long service life.
The most widely used spring wire material, carbon steel, offers an excellent strength-to-cost ratio. Available in hard-drawn for standard use or patented-drawn and phosphate coated for enhanced fatigue resistance and surface quality.
Performance Benefits:
Common Variants: brass plated, copper plated, hard drawn, induction heated & tempered (IHTW), oil tempered, patented drawn phosphated, patented drawn polished, tin plated, zinc plated/galvanised.
Engineered for demanding dynamic applications, our alloy steel spring wire is enhanced with silicon, chrome, or vanadium for superior fatigue life and strength retention. Available in oil hardened and tempered (OHT) or induction hardened and tempered (IHT) options, it is widely used in valve springs, axle springs, and other components requiring continuous dynamic performance.
Applications:
Variants: Induction Heated & Tempered (IHTW), Oil Tempered Alloy Steel
For applications exposed to moisture, humidity, or mineral salts, stainless steel spring wire delivers the corrosion resistance required for long service life. The most widely used grade is AISI 302 (1.4310), while AISI 316 (1.4401) and 17/7PH (1.4568) are chosen for enhanced resistance in harsher environments, and for applications operating at elevated temperatures up to 300 °C.
Applications:
Finishes:
Ideal for applications requiring electrical conductivity, soldering ability, and non-sparking properties. Options include Phosphor Bronze, Beryllium Copper.
High copper alloys are selected for springs used in gaseous or flammable environments, where their non-sparking properties are essential for safety. Monel® K500 is a common choice for these specialised applications.
Applications:
Electrical & electronic components, Springs for gas/flammable environments
For the most demanding environments, nickel alloy spring materials provide exceptional resistance to both extreme temperatures and corrosion. While highly specialised and more costly, they are essential in safety-critical applications. Commonly specified grades include Inconel® 718, Inconel® X750, Nimonic® 80A, and Nimonic® 90.
Applications:
Gas turbines, Aerospace components, Nuclear reactors
