Centrifugal Castings for Strength, Accuracy and Reliability

At NOCKERS ENGINEERING PRODUCTS, we supply centrifugal castings designed for industries that demand the highest levels of reliability. Using advanced centrifugal casting methods, molten steel is poured into a rotating mould, producing castings with exceptional metallurgical soundness, uniform microstructure, and dimensional accuracy.

Centrifugal casting is the ideal solution for components where strength, corrosion resistance, and performance consistency are critical. From industrial pipes to valve bodies, our products are manufactured to international standards and supplied either rough or fully machined, depending on your project requirements.

Benefits and Capabilities of

Centrifugal Castings

In the centrifugal casting process, liquid steel is poured into a spinning mould, where centrifugal force drives impurities toward the internal surface. These are later removed during machining, ensuring excellent metallurgical cleanliness. The rapid solidification of molten steel produces a fine, defect-free microstructure that delivers exceptional mechanical properties and corrosion resistance.

Centrifugal Casting Offers:

  • High process versatility with the ability to produce single or small-quantity castings, reducing lead times
  • The option to pour items with tailored chemical analysis
  • Production of components that are otherwise difficult to forge, including heat-resistant alloys with high carbon levels

Dimensional Range

We supply pipes with wall thicknesses from 10 mm to 150 mm and lengths up to 5,500 mm. Rings, cones, and flanges are available with wall thicknesses from 30mm to 250 mm. We also produce balls with or without trunnions ranging from 6” (150 mm) to 32” (800 mm). All products can be supplied either in rough condition or fully machined to specification.

Horizontal Centricast Items:

With outer diameters ranging from 80 mm to 1500 mm, minimum internal diameters from 45 mm, and lengths up to 5500 mm. Wall thicknesses vary from 10 mm to 150 mm, and single-piece weights can reach up to 5000 kg, making them suitable for a wide range of industrial uses.

Applications include:

  • Mechanical line pipes
  • Line pipes for nuclear power stations
  • Hydraulic or pneumatic cylinders
  • Industrial gas production tubes
  • Conveyor rolls for pulp and paper, dairy, textile, printing, and metallurgical industries
  • Bodies for HP ball valves
  • Rolls for heating furnaces
  • Seats, rings, and nozzles
  • Radiant tubes and fittings for the petrochemical industry

Vertical Centricast Items:

With outer diameters from 280 mm to 1400 mm, minimum internal diameters from 115 mm, and lengths up to 1000 mm, our vertical centricast items are produced for critical industrial applications. Wall thicknesses can reach 250 mm, and balls range from 6” (150 mm) to 32” (800 mm), with or without trunnions. Single-piece weights are available up to 4000 kg.

Applications include:

  • Balls, flanged bodies, and seat rings for HP valves
  • Cylindrical and shaped rings, flanged bushes, and valve wedges
  • Hydraulic cylinders
  • Turbine seals, wear rings, and valve cages
  • Seats and conical parts for centrifuges (rotors, bowl shells)
  • Flanges and high-pressure filter housings
  • Conical parts for roll conveyors
  • Gas turbine components
  • Petrochemical components (tees, manifolds, line pipes)
